感謝昨天在英國市集， 喜歡媽媽手寫繁體字：天朗氣清，惠風和暢 和元亨利貞，吉無不利兩卷 紙膠帶的人，感恩～ Yesterday, I was very disappointed because someone tried to break our ceramic items during market hours in Bristol. England. Uk. I never imagined something like this could happen in the UK. If you don’t like seeing people selling handmade ceramics in front of you, please just walk away. I understand that not everyone values handmade ceramics — some people only want low-priced, high-quality stoneware or porcelain. I also understand that not everyone likes to see “honest” posts. A couple of people have told me that social media should only show achievements and not the real difficulties we face. But the truth is, no one will believe these things happen until they experience them themselves. I want to say thank you to the person who, yesterday, purchased my mother’s handwriting paper tape. You lifted her spirits during her cancer treatment. It’s not just about £10 for two rolls of paper tape — you gave her hope and made her feel useful in the world, even while battling cancer. I will also stay strong. I will keep my distance from unpleasant people, be more careful when we hold markets, and watch the people around our stand closely. I will be brave and stand up for my rights as an artist. Martin and I have had a few people come to our stand, laugh at us for being there, and question the value of our handmade ceramics. It is deeply discouraging, and we simply cannot understand such attitudes. As living artists, we sell our artworks and art merchandise to earn money to pay our bills. What is wrong with selling ceramics at a market? We use our own hands to create these pieces and then work hard to find a way to live in the real world. This is how living artists survive. Or do some people still think that artists should be like Vincent van Gogh — only recognised after they have died? I feel very disappointed that some people look down on artists, fail to respect their work, and do not see being an artist as a real job. I hope this post does not offend anyone. If it does, I sincerely apologise and am sorry for any discomfort it causes.
